No. 20 Ranger College Women's Soccer Finishes Conference Season Unbeaten with 5-0 Win

SNYDER, Texas — October 14, 2025 — The No. 20 nationally ranked Ranger College women's soccer team capped off an undefeated conference season in dominant fashion, defeating Western Texas College 5–0 on the road Tuesday afternoon. The victory improved the Lady Rangers' record to 10-0-2 overall and 5-0-1 in conference play, securing their unbeaten run through league competition.

Medina's Hat Trick Leads the Way

Freshman Katalina Medina was unstoppable, scoring a hat trick to power the Lady Rangers' offense. Medina opened the scoring in the 4th minute with an unassisted strike, then added her second just before halftime in the 44th minute off a cross from Clara Luque. She completed the hat trick in the 52nd minute, finishing a pass from Naileth Rangel to make it 3–0.

Finishing Strong

Ranger added two more insurance goals late in the match. Alba Mendez Garcia scored unassisted in the 70th minute, followed by Naileth Rangel in the 80th minute, who capped the scoring with her own unassisted goal.

Defensive Shutout

Goalkeeper Sara Mendivelso earned the clean sheet, stopping all four shots on goal by Western Texas to preserve the shutout. The Lady Rangers' defense controlled the tempo and limited the Westerners to only four total shots for the match.

Looking Ahead

With the win, Ranger College finishes undefeated in conference play (5-0-1) and improves to 10-0-2 overall. The Lady Rangers will now turn their attention to postseason competition as they look to carry their momentum into the regional tournament.
