Lagat leads Lady Rangers to 4th at Region 5 Championships

The Ranger College Lady Rangers traveled to Hobbs, NM, to compete in the Regional Championship and turned in a solid showing against several cross country powers, including, Cisco College, Hill College and North Central Texas College.

The RC women more than proved they were among the best at the meet, which also served as the NTJCAC Conference meet

The Ranger women secured the conference title by finishing fourthoverall in Region I stadings. Top teams included:

Notably, the Lady Pistols qualified for the upcoming NJCAA Nationals as a team for the first time since 2020.

Stella Lagat led the team with a ninth-place finish earning herself all-region honors.

"It's been a long season for the Lady Pistols, but they show no signs of giving up," said Coach Majenge, "Our young program is fueled by their dedication to one another, and I'm incredibly proud of their daily commitment.

I'm excited to see how they'll perform in Richmond, VA."
