Big fourth quarter allows Ranger to nail down a postseason spot
Ranger entered its game on Saturday against Cisco in what had become a familiar position, facing a team which was fighting for one of the final NTJCAC right alongside RC. The Rangers built a modest lead entering the fourth quarter and then outscored Wranglers 25-11 over the final 10 minutes, which allowed them to pull away and win easily 69-47.
The victory improved the Rangers record to 8-5 and gave the sole possession of the third seed with one game remaining.
Lena Maledon came off the bench to score a team-high 15 points, including three, 3-pointers.
Also, Josie Fisher finished in double figures with 10.
Ranger is home Wednesday night at 5 p.m. for sophomore night against Weatherford College.
