Gudisa Adnow is the Assistant Cross country and track distance Coach at Ranger College and a former collegiate All-American distance runner. He began his collegiate career at Fort Scott Community College, where he earned three Track & Field All-American honors and one Cross Country All-American honor while setting school records in the outdoor 5,000m, outdoor 10,000m, and indoor 5,000m. Adnow then transferred to Sam Houston State University, where he became a First Team All-Conference performer, a two-time Second Team All-Conference selection, a two-time All-Region honoree, and was named the 2024 Outstanding Senior of the Meet. He also set the Sam Houston State indoor 5,000m school record. Following graduation, Adnow began his coaching career at Coffeyville Community College, where he coached middle-distance and distance athletes in cross country and track & field. During his time at Coffeyville, he helped several athletes break school records and earn spots on the program’s all-time top-10 performance lists. Adnow is passionate about developing student-athletes both on and off the track and specializes in training athletes from the 800m through 10,000m, with an emphasis on aerobic development, threshold training, race preparation, and long-term success.
