RANGER, Texas — September 26, 2025 — The Ranger College men's soccer team defended its home field in impressive fashion Friday, defeating the Western Texas College Westerners 2–0 in conference play. The win lifted the Rangers to 1-1 in conference action and 5-3-2 overall.
First-Half Strike
The Rangers jumped ahead in the 25th minute when Juan Jose Mosquera Gonzalez buried a goal off an assist from Steven Naz, giving Ranger the early momentum.
Sealing the Match
In the 75th minute, Naz added a goal of his own, finishing a setup from Kosuke Nozawa to double the advantage and put the match out of reach.
Defensive Lockdown
Goalkeeper Jack Luis Bisazza posted another clean sheet, recording five saves against 12 Western Texas shots. The back line stayed organized throughout, limiting the Westerners to only two shots on target.
