Torres Powers Rangers to 13–3 Win Over Wharton County at Constellation Field
SUGAR LAND, Texas — February 7, 2026 — Ranger College baseball followed up Thursday's extra-inning victory with a commanding performance Saturday afternoon, rolling past Wharton County Junior College 13–3 at Constellation Field.
The Rangers broke the game open early and never looked back, using a balanced offensive attack and strong pitching to secure their second win in three days over the Pioneers.
Torres Drives in Four
Jeremiah Torres led the Rangers at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBIs, including a two-run double in the third inning and a two-run single in the sixth. Torres helped ignite Ranger's offense as the Rangers plated four runs in the third inning to take control of the game.
Ranger continued to build its lead with steady scoring throughout the afternoon, finishing with 10 hits and 10 walks. Jordan Enyart added two hits and three RBIs, while Reid Richard and Jackson Hopper each drove in two runs. Ashton Fisher collected two hits and an RBI, and the Rangers swiped three bases while turning a double play defensively.
Adams Picks Up the Win
On the mound, Jamison Adams earned the victory after tossing 3.2 innings, allowing just one earned run on five hits while striking out two. Ranger received solid relief work from Cooper Haygood, Clark Sampson, Brock Lansville, and Kaden Jammer, who combined to hold Wharton to three runs while limiting late scoring chances.
Ranger's pitching staff worked around traffic on the bases, as Wharton drew 11 walks, but the Rangers consistently made key outs to maintain momentum.
The convincing win improves Ranger College to 3–3 on the season as the Rangers continue early non-conference play. Next up, the Rangers will have their home opener on Friday February 13 as they play host to Garden City Community College. First pitch is set for Noon at Ellis Burks & Family Baseball Complex in Ranger, Texas.
