Rangers Sweep Home Doubleheader Over North Central Texas College
Ranger, TX — April 1, 2026 — Ranger College baseball put together an impressive day at the plate, sweeping a home doubleheader against North Central Texas College with wins of 12–10 (12 innings) and 14–8.
Game 1 – Walk-Off in Extras
The opener delivered late drama, as Reid Richard blasted a two-run walk-off home run in the 12th inning to lift the Rangers to a 12–10 victory.
Ashton Fisher had a historic performance, hitting for the cycle and finishing 4-for-5, while Jeremiah Torres and Joey Rodriguez each added key home runs. On the mound, Cooper Haygood earned the win with 5.1 scoreless innings in relief.
Game 2 – Offense Stays Hot
Ranger carried that momentum into Game 2, exploding offensively in a 14–8 win. The Rangers scored in bunches, including five-run innings in the first and third to take control.
Brandon Leon, Will Smith, and Jaxson Lopez each drove in three runs, with Lopez adding a grand slam. Ranger also showcased aggressive baserunning with four stolen bases.
