Ranger Esports Claims National Runner-Up Spot in Nail-Biting Fortnite Championship
Ranger College Esports participated in the National semi-finals on December 8th. In the semi-finals the Ranger's would go onto defeat Kishwaukee College 3-2 in a game that was down to the wire adding excitement and buildup to the Ranger's semi-final victory. The Ranger's would proceed to advance to the national finals immediately after.
In a heart-pounding conclusion to the 2025 NJCAAE National Championships, Ranger College's Fortnite 2v2 Zero Build Division I squad stormed to a runner-up finish, capping an unforgettable debut season for standout freshmen Diego and Kevin. The game would go all the way to the finish where the Rangers would lose by 1 point in the 3-2 Finals. The Rangers, already crowned Central Region champions after an undefeated regional run, battled through the playoffs with grit and precision, only falling short in the grand finals on December 8. Coach Mobley praised the duo's poise: "Diego and Kevin came in clutch this season. Since the start they have been the perfect athletes. I am so extremely proud of how much they improved over the season.".
For Diego and Kevin, this silver medal marks a fairy-tale entry into Fortnite competition, their very first nationals, yet they played like veterans, racking up eliminations and top placements. The season for Ranger College Esports comes to a conclusion for this semester with the conclusion of this match. The future is bright for Ranger College Esports and there are only more championship's to come.
