Western Texas stuns Rangers in comeback

Fifty-one minutes into the match against Western Texas, it looked like Ranger College was going to stay unbeaten in conference play. Chris Harrison and Kyle Edwards had each found the back of the net in the second half and RC was up 2-0. The Westerners mounted an unforeseen comeback scoring three goals in the final 15 minutes capped by a second goal by Mario Banegas that proved to be the game winner in a 4-3 match.

Following the goal by Edwards, Western cut the lead in half, but Edwards pushed the lead back to two goals when he scored for the second time at the 70-minute mark.

Azinho Solomon had a pair of assists. Edwards had one.

Vincente Hernandez made seven saves.

Ranger plays a pair of non-conference matches at University of the Southwest and home against Murray State College before traveling to Western Texas to close out the regular season.
